Clair Hodgson
semi-precious stone jewellery and watercolour painting
Making jewellery at Wobage since the early 90s, Clair uses gold, silver and semi-precious stones in her beautiful earrings.
Rose quartz, amethyst, rock crystal and topaz.
Creating pieces that are comfortable, easy to wear, distinctive and enduring in their design.
Clair's artistic practice encompasses spontaneous studies of light and sky in outdoor landscape painting, explorations of structure and shadow in her ink drawings and decadently colourful flower paintings.
Lilies, sweet peas, peonies and roses.

Residency at the Laskett Gardens
2022 - 26
Clair's watercolour paintings and line drawings celebrate the character of this wonderful Arts and Crafts garden, its delightful planting, sculpture and unique architectural details.
Painting and drawing en plein air, Clair captures transient seasonal atmospheres passing through the garden; ever-shifting light creating fresh perspectives on the Laskett's dynamically designed avenues.
"A well-loved local treasure, the Laskett is going to be very missed by many of us. To all the amazing people involved, I would like to say thank you.
I have enjoyed painting in the garden endlessly. In early morning mist, gentle rain and glorious summer sunshine, I have loved every moment. The gardens have been a huge inspiration.
It has also been a pleasure to volunteer alongside so many talented people, caring for the plants and bringing people together for exhibitions and garden events."
You can find Clair's jewellery, watercolour paintings, prints and cards at Wobage Makers Gallery
Clair is also exhibiting her paintings at Stockton Bury Gardens during Herefordshire Art Week this September
